Balloon Animals

2018

UC Berkeley | Professor Ron Rael

How do forms and spaces interact to shape experience? This project investigates controlled forces and their role in sculpting architectural volumes and spaces. Further, the kinetic forces observed in a front somersault jump are applied to plaster castings, which are then carved into playful, balloon-animal-like forms, showcasing the relationship between motion and spatial transformation.
