House For A Fisherman
2018
UC Berkeley | Professor Eleanor Pries

Every morning, you greet the water as both friend and rival. Your life belongs to the sea, its waves marking time and season, while your home stands on the edge between land and water. As the townspeople settle in for the night, you are drawn to the vast unknown, finding solace in the ebb and flow of tides, the salt-scented air, the echo of the past fishermen whose lives mirror your own. You ask for a dwelling that anchors you when on land, yet holds the spirit of the sea within its walls—a place to rest, to mend, and to remember.
